Registering or Withdrawing your Student



Registration Hours are from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. You may come in between those times or you can contact melissa.ross@cms.k12.nc.us to schedule an appointment.

Registering a student new to CMS:

You must bring the following items - an original or certified birth certificate, immunization records, three proofs of residency, three proofs of current address. You will also be required to fill out registration papers.


Transfering student within CMS:

You must bring the following information - withdrawl paperwork from the previous school and three proofs of your current address. You will also be required to fill out registration paperwork.


Withdrawing Students :


All students who withdraw MUST return any textbooks and get withdrawl grades from their current teachers. If you are transfering to another Charlotte-Mecklenburg school you will need three proofs of your current address to determine your home school. You will also need to present registration paperwork to update emergency contact information. If you will be moving to a school outside of CMS you will need withdrawl grades to take with you to your new school, this will also help in setting your schedule at the new school.

Parent Assist is available to update phone numbers, emergency contacts and other information however you cannot change your address.
When registering with a new school or withdrawing Parent Signatures are required.
