E2D, Eliminate the Digital Divide is coming to East Meck High School on April 28, 2018, from 10 AM - 1 PM (Media Center) and we want to get computers into the hands of East Meck students.

E2D has limited quantities of computers that will be available on a first come-first served basis. Families participating in the E2D Program pay $60 to receive a refurbished laptop computer with Windows OS and Microsoft Productivity Software, basic digital literacy training, and 6 months of tech support. The computer is theirs to keep.

Shelton Challenge

The Shelton Challenge is a six day residential experience to help students expand their knowledge and skills of what it takes to be a leader.Students will participate in activities that will help them have a greater understanding for a variety of topics including personal leadership assessment and interpersonal dynamics;role of values and ethics in leadership; leadership traits and approaches; team building and empowering others; civic and social responsibility;and goal setting.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in team building activities,low and high ropes courses, a coordinated service project,and fun night activities to help students get to know others participating in the program. Click the link above to see requirements.

CPCC The Career and College Promise Program

One of the new, exciting programs offered through CPCC this year is Career & College Promise. This is a new initiative by Governor Beverly Perdue which provides seamless dual enrollment educational enrollment educational opportunities for qualifying North Carolina high school students. The tuition and fees are waived for all eligible courses under this program. This provides a great opportunity for students to get a jump start on their college education and save money in the process!
